Float and gather’s founder, Paula Gould, is a go-to-market and growth strategy consultant, speaker, mentor, and Marcomm executive. She is the face of Float and gather and the company’s lead consultant.
Paula previously served as Head of Brand & Communications at Men&Mice (acqu. by Blue Cat), Chief Marketing Officer at Greenqloud (acqu. by NetApp), Board Member at CLARA (acqu. by Jive Software), Principal at Nordic VC firm, Frumtak Ventures, Director of PR at Tagworld (acqu. by MTV) and producer & studio manager for award-winning director, photographer and composition artist, Glen Wexler.
She has extensive experience working with US and European growth and startup companies that engage global enterprises. Paula has held additional C-level, interim and advisory roles throughout her career.
This is Paula’s second international consulting company. She previously owned a boutique Communications firm in Los Angeles at the intersection of IT and Entertainment, PEG PR. There, she and her team advised and nurtured the growth of an international roster of clients ranging from social media, video and gaming platforms, to a fuel cell manufacturer and notable award-winning artists.
Paula often operates at the tipping point of digital transformation. She began her career in the music and live events industry, traversing film, advertising, art, consumer goods, social media and inevitably B2B & B2C tech. She has lived and worked in Los Angeles, California, Reykjavik, Iceland and throughout Massachusetts.

We partner with Catecut’s founding team on all mission-critical marketing and sales operations, from go-to-market/launch strategy to messaging and investor relations.
We work with IWR founders, Erica Green, and former First Lady of Iceland, Eliza Reid, to manage all aspects of their annual fundraising campaigns for their grant program, as well as the application and awards process. We advise the founders on various ad hoc needs relating to strategy, marketing and comms.

We worked closely with this remarkable DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) management platform dedicated to making workplace cultures more inclusive and analytics-driven. The founding team partnered with us to develop their fundraising and investor relations strategy, leveraging our extensive VC and angel network to champion Alda, successfully establish contact and spark relationships with target investors. In this capacity, we curated investor targets, conducted investor outreach, advised on pitch decks and sourced investor visibility opportunities at events and through their owned media channels.
We partnered with this company’s CMO and other C-suite stakeholders to strategize and execute their communications, crisis and media relations strategy for its global Pfizer and US government vaccine logistics and monitoring rollout, leading to high visibility global news coverage across tech, logistics, pharma and consumer news transforming the brand into the go-to expert on perishable product supply chain.
We took the reins on this green home building-focused digital media company’s revenue operations to expand revenue opportunities through new and existing brand partnerships (Sunpower, Fireclay Tile, Recolor Paint, Chairish, Sabai Furniture, Avocado brand, and others), new content ideation, advertising inventory and through its acquisition of Zero Energy Project.

To strengthen this US media agency’s media relations team, we partnered up to devise media targets, story angles, pitch strategies and secured earned media stories for their clients, including SOURCE Global, whose solar-based drinking water technology and installations expand clean drinking water access in vulnerable communities, and open new commercial water categories in the global beverage industry.
We worked with serial founder, Safa Jemai, who was named Nordic Women in Tech Awards 2023 Rising Star of the Year, and who owns tech-enablement company Vikonnekt and hand-crafted spice brand Mabruka. We partnered with Safa as a founder advisor to stoke international visibility and leverage it to amplify her diverse businesses. We provided personalized guidance and performed tactical marketing and comms functions where and when needed.
We strategized US go-to-market strategy, including navigating the Amazon store presence, expansion to other e-commerce platforms, developing a social media strategy, sourcing awards recongitions, as well as visibility opportunities at industry conferences and platforms that connected the brand to retailers and consumers internationally. We also managed the visual and design team and inventory, hiring photographers and designers as needed.
